The Next Biz Kid Competition provides an opportunity for young entrepreneurs (ages 10-17) to pitch their business to a team of judges and compete for cash award investment and mentorship.
Our 2016 competition is going to be bigger and better than ever! With $1000 and a business mentorship at stake, 5 finalists will have the opportunity to present their businesses at the Kidz Count 5th Anniversary Celebration. The 5 finalists will be selected by public vote, so check out the details here so you can submit your entry into the competition!
Our 2015 winner was 12 year old Deja McWhite of Esoteric Fashions. She has already had her designs featured in fashion shows and even gave the audience a mini show during her presentation.
The winner of our 2014 inaugural Next Biz Kid Competition was 15 year old Nicholas Cunningham. He pitched his business “Nick’s Auto Detailing” and says he is grateful for the funding he received for supplies as well as the mentoring. He learned how to set pricing and how to spend, save, and re-invest from profits from his auto detailing business.
